Coverage of the HBA Global in New York

This year, the Beauty and personal Care Product Development Event was held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York from June 19 through the 21st.  The event this year included more than 16,000 health professionals and more than 80 percent of the audience is confirmed to be influential individuals in the brand development of products that act to heal anti-aging, dark spots, and other components that are prevalent in an aging population of women.  This audience consisted primarily of women however there was also an attendance of men at the event.  In fact, this event represents the largest gathering of health professionals in this industry.

The audience represents a 4 percent increase from last year and more than 15 countries were represented as international resources in attendance.  As this event continues to grow and grow each year, it is known that this event represents an important forum for many brands that are emerging and are niche in providing information and resources needed to help get specific brands on the market.  The growing popularity also provides an illustrated picture that a growing number of individuals are continuing to place heavy emphasis on the importance on skin-care and anti-aging treatments for consumers.

Attendees at this annual event discussed that finding new suppliers for cosmetic products and services are chief among the reasons for an increase in participation.  In addition, a bit more than 70 percent of the audience was attracted to a new feature, including innovation pavilions in anti-aging and eco and sustainability.  All of this evidence supports the growing amount of individuals that are concerned with the growing amount of aging population on women that are focused on their health and well-being.

In addition to the additional showcases during this year’s event, the Keynote Panel included Jane Larkworthy, Beauty Director at W Magazine, Deanna Kangas, CEO of Stila Cosmetics, and Catherine Walsh, Senior Vice President of Coty Prestige.

Next year, the HBA Global Exposition and Conference will also be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from June 18 through the 20th.  As 2012 represents an important year in the transition to a more health-conscience consumer and healthcare manufactures, it becomes clear that major evolutions will continue to impact this industry.  Dry and Dull skin treatments continue to advance, as does anti-aging products that help women recover from the natural processes of aging.
