This year, the Beauty and personal Care Product Development
Event was held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York from June
19 through the 21
st.
The event this year included more than 16,000 health professionals and
more than 80 percent of the audience is confirmed to be influential individuals
in the brand development of products that act to heal anti-aging,
dark spots, and other
components that are prevalent in an aging population of women. This audience consisted primarily of
women however there was also an attendance of men at the event. In fact, this event represents the
largest gathering of health professionals in this industry.
The audience represents a 4 percent increase from last year
and more than 15 countries were represented as international resources in
attendance. As this event
continues to grow and grow each year, it is known that this event represents an
important forum for many brands that are emerging and are niche in providing
information and resources needed to help get specific brands on the
market. The growing popularity
also provides an illustrated picture that a growing number of individuals are
continuing to place heavy emphasis on the importance on skin-care and
anti-aging treatments for consumers.
Attendees at this annual event discussed that finding new
suppliers for cosmetic products and services are chief among the reasons for an
increase in participation. In
addition, a bit more than 70 percent of the audience was attracted to a new
feature, including innovation pavilions in anti-aging and eco and
sustainability. All of this
evidence supports the growing amount of individuals that are concerned with the
growing amount of aging population on women that are focused on their health
and well-being.
In addition to the additional showcases during this year’s
event, the Keynote Panel included Jane Larkworthy, Beauty Director at W Magazine,
Deanna Kangas, CEO of Stila Cosmetics, and Catherine Walsh, Senior Vice
President of Coty Prestige.
Next year, the HBA Global Exposition and Conference will
also be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from June 18 through the
20th. As 2012
represents an important year in the transition to a more health-conscience
consumer and healthcare manufactures, it becomes clear that major evolutions
will continue to impact this industry.
Dry and Dull skin treatments continue to advance, as does anti-aging
products that help women recover from the natural processes of aging.
